Founder:

Kyle Loucks – Founder & CEO

Kyle has always been driven by two things: engineering and rolling a great joint. Cannabis played a key role in his creative process, helping him think differently and fueling some of his best ideas. By day, he worked as an engineer on groundbreaking medical devices and helped develop Facebook’s Oculus system. By night, he hand-rolled exceptional joints, frustrated by an industry where pre-rolls often hid subpar flower behind flashy packaging. With a busy career, a family, and no time to roll by hand, Kyle believed convenience should never come at the expense of quality. During the COVID shutdowns of 2020, he left his job, turned his garage into a rolling skunkworks, and began building prototypes that combined engineering discipline with higher standards. Six months later, the first Blackbird was born.
