Grassroots cannabis business intelligence
Founded in 2014, Ganjapreneur started as a blog covering the trajectory of medical and adult-use legalization. Today, we keep cannabis stakeholders all over the world informed about the rapidly-evolving policy and business landscape of our industry, and we provide a platform for them to learn, make connections, and share knowledge.
What We Do
Ganjapreneur provides essential daily news and insights for cannabis entrepreneurs, professionals, and investors. For over a decade, we’ve made it our mission to deliver insightful, reliable coverage of issues affecting cannabis stakeholders of all types. We also publish podcasts, we conduct interviews with cannabis founders and experts, and we regularly highlight examples of innovation and excellence throughout the industry.
For paying subscribers, we offer a members-only area filled with tools we’ve built and data we’ve gathered in the course of our work. For brands, we offer a platform to publish your announcements, distribution for your educational whitepapers and reports, as well as a variety of ways to respectfully and authentically advertise to our audience.
What We Believe
Ganjapreneur‘s editors share the belief that cannabis should be removed from the Controlled Substances Act, and that all people currently imprisoned for cannabis-related crimes should be released and have their records fully expunged. We aim to advance a cannabis industry that is ethical, sustainable, inclusive, and that works to counteract the decades of harm caused by the racist “War on Drugs.”
We don’t shy away from covering news that could counteract the notion that cannabis use has no drawbacks, but we also recognize that the most dangerous thing about cannabis has historically been the violence (both institutional and otherwise) created by its criminalization.

Noel Abbott
Ganjapreneur‘s Co-Founder and CEO Noel Abbott lives in Bellingham, WA. He’s been building websites since before high school, and originally built Ganjapreneur as a way to escape the cubicle. These days, he’s focused on creating new ways for independent publishers to deliver value to their communities.

Graham Abbott
Ganjapreneur‘s Editor-in-Chief, Graham Abbott, lives in rural Oregon and reports on cannabis policy and business news nationally. Interesting fact about Graham: while on a roughly 500-mile walk in 2012, he taught himself how to roll spliffs without stopping.

TG Branfalt
TG Branfalt is a journalist who has been covering the cannabis industry since 2012, and has previously written for Reuters and numerous other publications. He covers cannabis business and policy news nationally, and is the host of The Ganjapreneur Podcast. He also teaches journalism as a college professor and runs an independent record store in upstate New York.

Katie Stevenson
Katie Stevenson is Ganjapreneur‘s Director of Client Relations, making sure all of our partnerships and collaborations go off without a hitch. Based out of Colorado, Katie enjoys exploring the natural world and connecting with cannabis people throughout her travels.
