Used about rolling papers, especially in London and the United Kingdom. It is also used as a verb in the term ‘skin up’ which means to roll a joint. The origin of this term is murky, but it could be a reference to the similarity that a function of a paper has to the function of skin for the human body. The term was popularized with American teens after the drama of the same name was released for television.Example usage:
“Let’s swing into the shops and grab some skins before heading out.”
