San Diego could be the next California city to embrace the licensing of social-use cannabis lounges.

Alaska’s Lieutenant Governor Kevin Meyer has given the final sign-off on rules making Alaska the first state to allow on-site cannabis consumption in the state.

San Francisco will start issuing permits for events where patrons will be allowed to purchase and consume cannabis, starting with events that have historically attracted heavy cannabis use.

A bill that would both legalize social consumption establishments as well as clean up the rules regarding cannabis tours has been introduced to the Colorado House.

In an ongoing effort to launch social-use cannabis lounges in the city which have so far struggled to get started, the Denver City Council opted to permanently extend the social-use regulations.

Oregon lawmakers will discuss the possibility of legalizing cannabis lounges during a committee hearing scheduled for Thursday.

Regulators also recommended allowing home delivery. The recommendations will now be considered by the Cannabis Control Commission.

Alaska’s Marijuana Control Board has voted 3-2 in favor of allowing on-site cannabis consumption at licensed dispensaries.

The move also includes a provision for eateries and restaurants where chefs will be able to serve cannabis-infused foods.
