Democratic presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris this week tabbed Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as her running mate. Having supported and signed into law his home state’s adult-use cannabis reforms, Walz has earned an A rating for cannabis policy from NORML.

Researchers noted significant increases in the clearance rate for violent crimes following the legalization of cannabis in Oregon, relative to non-legalized states.

NORML’s Arkansas chapter has filed a ballot initiative to legalize adult-use cannabis in Arkansas. It is the second legalization bid aiming for 2022 after Arkansas True Grass filed its own initiative earlier this year.
