Quebec’s government announced it will appeal a recent court decision that ruled the province’s ban on home cannabis cultivation is unconstitutional.

A judge in Quebec’s Superior Court has ruled that the current provincial ban on homegrown cannabis is unconstitutional; experts say, however, that a similar ban could be carried out lawfully.

A tax-and-regulate legalization plan has advanced from the Illinois Senate to the House of Representatives. The bill has the support of Gov. J.B. Pritzker and, if fully approved, would make Illinois the 11th state to legalize cannabis for adult use.

A bill that would legalize home growing for medical cannabis patients has successfully passed the New Hampshire House of Representatives.

The proposal would allow adults to cultivate up to six cannabis plants in the privacy of their own homes.
