Guam has now appointed 11 “responsible officials” to represent the island’s upcoming cannabis business entities but none have yet to formally submit their business application.

Guam regulators awarded two “responsible official” cannabis identification cards today. They are the island territory’s first adult-use cannabis industry credentials.

Guam is set to begin accepting adult-use cannabis license applications on August 29.

Guam’s adult-use cannabis rules and regulations are now in effect after lawmakers failed to pass, amend, or reject the rules by the May 31 deadline.

Guam will adopt the Metrc seed-to-sale tracking system for the territory’s pending medical cannabis program rollout.
