Elmira College, a private, liberal arts college in Elmira, New York, is partnering with cannabis education company Green Flower to offer a six online Cannabis Career Certificate programs.

In a statement, Elmira College Provost Dr. Patricia Ireland said the “partnership allows learners to gain knowledge and skills that will help them succeed in the cannabis industry.”  

“We’re proud to collaborate with Green Flower to deliver high-quality, workforce-aligned cannabis education to anyone looking to pursue a role in this growing career field.” — Ireland in a press release 

The programs include an eight-week cannabis associate certificate that costs $850, along with cannabis cultivation specialist, cannabis product development specialist, cannabis retail and sales specialist, cannabis compliance specialist, and medical cannabis specialist certificate programs that run for 16 weeks and cost $2,200.  

The partnership also includes a Cannabis Career Resource Center with a continuing education hub, employer access, and an exclusive LinkedIn community.  

The first cohort begins January 13, 2026, with new dates offered every eight weeks.

According to Green Flower’s website, the company now counts more than 25 partnerships with colleges and universities throughout the U.S.
