Our Virtual CFO service provides year-round strategy by partnering you with a Virtual CFO and a remote accounting team. The Virtual CFO, your main point of contact, will teach you forecasting through non-financial metrics. They’ll monitor those metrics to reduce risk and increase profit, while building your cash reserves to 10% of revenue. A senior accountant handles day-to-day questions and assists with analysis and planning, while the tax specialist works behind the scenes, consulting as necessary to ensure no end-of-year surprises. In addition to benefiting from our leading-edge tech stack, you’ll get a team with diverse expertise and significant redundancy to ensure nothing ever stops (even when someone is sick or takes a vacation) – all at the fraction of the cost of a full-time employee. Jody Grunden - Head of Summit Virtual CFO by Anders
Jody Grunden is an accounting visionary with over 20 years of experience. He has helped pioneer innovative changes within the industry, including the introduction of the first subscription-based billing method employed by an accounting firm. He is the author of two books, Digital Dollars and Cents and Building the Virtual CFO Firm in the Cloud. Together with his partner Adam Hale, Jody co-founded Summit CPA Group (Summit) in 2002, which merged with Anders CPAs + Advisors (Anders) in 2022. Summit, now Summit Virtual CFO by Anders, was the first fully distributed firm and the leading provider of Virtual CFO Services in North America. With this merger, Summit brings to Anders many benefits which will help continue Jody’s vision of changing the way people think about accounting, including strengthening the now “hybrid” work environment, building out the advisory side of Anders with a Virtual CFO service model, and implementing weekly subscription billing. His specialties include Virtual CFO Services, Creative Agencies, & Remote Team Management.
Adam Hale – Ops Lead at Summit Virtual CFO by Anders
Together with his partner Jody Grunden, Adam co-founded Summit CPA Group (Summit) in 2002, which merged with Anders CPAs + Advisors (Anders) in 2022 and became Summit Virtual CFO by Anders. As a Partner at Anders, Adam now supervises the VCFO team and proactively works to build out the advisory side of Anders with a Virtual CFO service model. Adam leverages 20+ years of experience in the public accounting sector to coach his team and other accounting firm owners around how to successfully sell and deliver Virtual CFO services. He takes a leading role in the ideation and development of CPA training courses, including Summit’s Virtual CFO Playbook: How to Land $60K/year Clients and Provide a Killer Client Experience. Adam specializes in Virtual CFO Services, Creative Agencies, and Remote Team Management. Adam is also a member a several professional organizations including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Indiana CPA Society, Member of the Bureau of Digital, and Member of the Society of Digital Agencies (SoDA). Furthermore, Adam is a member of both PlanGuru’s Board of Directors and Mizpah Shrine. In 2017, he was awarded as a winner of the Indiana CPA Society Innovation Award.
